For those of us who suffer with anxiety attacks, we know what it feels like. We get butterflies in our belly. We have hot and cold sweats. We worry and fret over every little thing and anything. Our heart pounds. Our throats go dry and we have trouble swallowing, just to name some.
We may have many symptoms in common, we also may have symptoms that differ significantly. This is why it is important to focus on us rather than some definition.
That is why anxiety attack is so difficult to diagnose. It's not like having a cold or another sickness, where the signs and symptoms are usual and easy to make out and detect.
Anxiety attacks could happen out of the blue. I have spoken with a lot of individuals who have said 'my life is good; I don't know why I am all of a sudden struggling with anxiety attacks';. This is the character of the beast. There isn't a designated format for anxiety attacks.
